The Institute for Science, Engineering, and Public Policy (ISEPP) presents Dr. Bart Kosko, speaking on "What is Noise? What is Signal?"

Thursday, January 31st, 2008 at 7:00 at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall.

A celebrated maverick in the world of science, Bart Kosko introduced-and continues to popularize in print and television media-the revolutionary concept of fuzzy logic. In his latest book, he provides the first scientific history of noise aimed at the general reader.

The Dean’s Challenge and LINK Programs Scholarship

LINK and Challenge Students are encouraged to apply next year for the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences Dean's Scholar Program. This is a new scholarship program based on academic record and for which consideration is given to our LINK and Challenge students.

To be eligible, you must have:

  • A minimum 3.75 cumulative high school GPA
  • A minimum score of 24 on the composite ACT exam and/or a minimum 1250 score on the SAT combined Critical Reading and Math exams
  • Plan a course of study within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

Detailed information and applications will be available next fall for the 2009-10 academic year.
