PSU Quick Entry :: About

The Quick Entry process is how all part-time non-admitted students apply to PSU to take up to eight credits. Through this process (which can be done online) you receive a PSU ID number. Once you've applied through Quick Entry, you do not need to apply again as long as you limit your coursework to a maximum of eight classes per quarter.

If you are a LINK student, you apply through the Quick Entry Process but you REGISTER for particular classes through the LINK Office and that is how you receive your $150 tuition remission.

If you are a high school student who has not applied or not applied in time to be part of LINK, you may certainly still take classes at PSU but you will need to register for your class(es) each quarter on your own and you will not be eligible for the tuition remission.

First Things First :: Do Your Homework

  1. Research the 100-200 level course offerings at PSU to help determine what course best fits your needs and academic plan. The schedule of classes lists what is being offered in a given term, including times and locations; the PSU Bulletin will give you broader information about departmental offerings, what is required for a particular major, etc. Hard copies of both of these are available through our office (contact us).
  1. Consult with your high school counselor about what class is appropriate for your educational program. Ask whether you should take the PSU course for high school credit as well as college credit. If you are interested in continuing with German, French or Spanish language, log onto the Department of Foreign Language’s website to take the appropriate placement test.
  1. Understand that there is a particular window of time in which you may register through Quick Entry. It’s important to register as soon as you are eligible to help ensure a spot in the class. Registration dates are available here.
