PSU Quick Entry :: About

The Quick Entry enrollment process is available to prospective non-degree-seeking students. In fulfillment of the University mission, Quick Entry is a means of access to higher education for those who seek courses for edification and enrichment or to restart a college program.

As a Quick Entry student you may take up to eight credits a term and obtain college credit. This is an option for high school students to still come to campus to take coursework when they have not been able to meet the LINK deadline or requirements.

Quick Entry students are not eligible for the LINK tuition remission.

First Things First :: Do Your Homework

  1. Research the 100-200 level course offerings at PSU to help determine what course best fits your needs and academic plan. The schedule of classes lists what is being offered in a given term, including times and locations; the PSU Bulletin will give you broader information about departmental offerings, what is required for a particular major, etc. Hard copies of both of these are available through our office (contact us).
  1. Consult with your high school counselor about what class is appropriate for your educational program. Ask whether you should take the PSU course for high school credit as well as college credit. If you are interested in continuing with German, French or Spanish language, log onto the Department of Foreign Language’s website to take the appropriate placement test.
  1. Understand that there is a particular window of time in which you may register through Quick Entry. It’s important to register as soon as you are eligible to help ensure a spot in the class. Registration dates are available here.
