PSU Expanded Options Program :: High School Counselors & Districts
It is important to note that EOP students are accepted at PSU only through our established high school LINK program or through Independent Study.
Acceptance into LINK is contingent on completing the application by May 30 for the following academic year. LINK applications are only accepted once a year, even if a course is taken in Winter or Spring Quarters. By applying through LINK, we are able to provide EOP students with support and guidance, a critical factor in their success at PSU. LINK students also receive a tuition remission of $150.
- Work with the student to identify the appropriate course from the PSU online schedule of classes.
- If it appears an eligible student is best served by taking coursework at PSU, contact us to see whether there is already an agreement between your school district and PSU on file for the current academic year. If not, we will send you the agreement upon request.
- Facilitate the student’s LINK application process, particularly obtaining the counselor and teacher recommendations.
- Download the School District Billing Agreement, submit the form back to us. This will allow PSU to bill the school district directly for student fees and tuition.
- Assist the student in purchasing any required textbooks and/or course materials.
The LINK office will send the school district confirmation of EOP student enrollments at the beginning of the term and again confirmation of completion at the end of the term with a copy to the high school. It will also report any EOP enrollments at PSU to the Oregon Department of Education as required by law.
