Leanne"LINK enabled me to continue learning Spanish while I was in high school even though I had already completed Wilson's High School curriculum. The LINK office helped me figure out which classes would work for me and my schedule and once in the classroom, I felt comfortably challenged as if I were just another university student in the class.  LINK provided me with an idea of what my college experience will be like as well as credits that will come in useful as I pursue a major in Linguistics."

Leap Into New Knowledge (LINK)
Young Scholars Program

Portland State University is committed to serving the needs of the metropolitan area by providing a scholarship program for selected high school students to attend the University for part-time advanced study in a particular academic discipline, where they have exceeded district offerings.

LINK is an academic-year program; it does not run during the summer.  Students are accepted into the LINK program in the fall quarter for sequential courses in mathematics, foreign languages, and the sciences. Continued participation in the program is contingent upon satisfactory completion of the first quarter. New students are not accepted into winter or spring terms.

Students are limited to one course per quarter, for which Portland State University credit is granted.
