The Challenge Program
About Us
The PSU Challenge is a concurrent enrollment program that began 30 years ago to teach catalog-listed PSU courses at the high school site to high school seniors, providing them an opportunity to earn college credit. Currently we serve nearly 800 students in 7 school districts.
We modeled our program after the premier concurrent-enrollment program: Syracuse University’s Project Advance. We continue to adhere to the standards of Project Advance, and the accreditation board that has evolved from that program, the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP).
Our program strives to match our courses and experience as closely as possible to our campus courses, through close interaction between faculty and instructors, including training, orientation, site visits, and professional development workshops. It is our intention to provide our students with a substantive college experience.
